So named as it had a 24 number memory, the Venue 24 was an attempt to create a different looking up-market telephone, with a display, notepad and call timer. It can be seen as the logical successor to the Sceptre.

The only problem with the Venue is that the recessed handset is difficult to pick up and it is quite easy to fumble and cause a short loop break, simulating the recall signal. If a call gets parked in this way, modern digital exchanges ring the customer back to remind that a call is still held, causing much confusion!
