In 1986, Bang & Olufsen, famous for their well-designed HiFi equipment, entered the telephone market, releasing the Beocom 750 and later the Beocom 1000 in 1988. This model, the Beocom 2000, was an enhanced version of the 1000 with an LCD display and loudspeaker. It was in production from 1989 to 1998. The phone has a timeless classic design and is an antidote to the many ‘Coca-Cola’ curved designs prevalent in the 1990s. After 1993, the phone was produced with a single colour for the keys.
